General Course Description: This training is composed of a one-day facilitator-led workshop. The course is primarily designed for sales people, sales support people, and service representatives selling to business and home office customers in the local telephone exchange marketplace. The purpose is to provide the attendees with practical knowledge about ISDN Basic Rate Interface (BRI) and Primary Rate Interface (PRI) technology, applications and benefits. This knowledge should enable anyone in the sales organization to effectively position BRI and PRI service and explain the benefits to customers. Course Objective: Attendees completing this workshop will have a broad and in-depth understanding of BRIand PRI technologies and the applications most frequently used by customers. Upon completion of the workshop, attendees will be able to demonstrate in a measurable fashion that they can: · Explain the concept of application selling and business problem solving. · Define the basic terms associated with ISDN. · Explain the basic architecture of ISDN BRI and PRI. · List and describe the functions of the various components required to support ISDN BRI and PRI services. · Describe the capabilities enabled by ISDN BRI and PRI services. · List the factors that affect the cost and price of ISDN BRI and PRI services. · Recognize and explain the benefits associated with ISDN BRI and PRI services. · Describe the common applications supported by ISDN BRI and PRI services.
Instructional Media: The workshop will be delivered using classroom techniques that include interactive lecture along with individual and team activities that appeal to all learning styles. Mastery of this information will be demonstrated by identifying customer business needs in a case exercise, configuring an appropriate solution, correctly pricing it and presenting the recommendation in business terms. Course Customizations: This course can be tailored to meet local needs. Customization might include references to an individual company's local tariffs and specific ISDN BRI and PRI products and services, including their product names and pricing strategies. In addition, the course can be modified for a mixed audience consisting of attendees from different organizations within the company, both sales people and non-sales people. Customization fees will depend on the type and extent of the customization request.
